Hilarie Roseman: biography Hilarie Roseman (nee Monks) worked in television advertising before marriage, both in Australia and in London. She earned her BA (1988) from Chisholm Institute of Technology, Melbourne Australia. Sociology was then added to communication studies with her MA (2000) in communication research achieved from RMIT Melbourne, Australia, titled Catholic Access of Mass Media Messages on Sex. Her book, (2005) Catholic Laity Speak on Human Sexuality and Belief, telling the story of both the journey and results of her MA thesis has been published by Richard Owen of Christian Book Store Co. UK. A Diploma of Visual Arts, 2003, was gained from East Gippsland Institute of TAFE. In 2000, 11-14 May, the paper "Fading Catholic Memories" was delivered to the University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA. In 2004 Hilarie contributed to the International Sociological Association's Conference in Kyoto, RC07 Futures Research with the paper The Enlightened Heart: Common Values engage the Sacred with the Secular. At the request of Professor Ada Aharoni, who has a Peace site at www.IFLAC.com, Hilarie also wrote the 10,000 word essay Regenerating, Renewing, Reviving the Heart of Human Society for EOLS, of UNESCO. On 9 – 10 September 2009 the paper The attraction of the Common Good in Comprehensive Awareness: National Soft Power Building was presented to the Tsinghua International Conference on Soft Power and Nation Building in China. The PhD thesis Generating forgiveness and constructing peace with truthful dialogue; Abrahamic perspectives, Macquarie University, N.S.W. Australia was accepted on 24th May, 2014. Hilarie has been married for 55 years to John Roseman, and they have eight children and thirteen grandchildren |
