Born in Havana City, Cuba in 1964. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Havana, a qualification approved in Spain. She is Master in Water Engineering and Master in Plant Biochemistry. She worked as a researcher from 1987 to 2002 in her native country in various areas of science within the Ministry of Science-Technology and Environment of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba.

She lives in Seville where she has also developed other activities such as the creation, edition and dissemination of the Educational Magazine of Water and Nature "Aqüitín" for the Department of Environmental Engineering of the School of Engineers of Seville belonging to the University of Seville.

She is the author of several collections of poetry such as "Cuba and America Verses on the Border of the Soul" with their respective translation into English and "The faces of the moon and love". She has also written the novel "Amor entre dos fuegos.
