JEFFREY B. PETERS Jeffrey Peters, was co-founder with his wife Cici of WE THE PEOPLE, on whose behalf he ran as candidate for President of the United States in 2000. He has worked with Mexico for over thirty years. A graduate of Harvard College, with a B.A. in Government, and a Masters from the University of the Americas under a Ford Foundation Fellowship, he has successfully completed over 100 U.S.-Mexican Business Transactions. He arranged a joint venture between a U.S. energy company and the top Mexican company in its field. He has represented a U.S. company in the US$4 million sale of equipment to the Mexican government. He located a local Mexican sales representative for a U.S. manufacturer of steel industry equipment. In addition, Peters has facilitated eight real estate developments and three agribusiness projects. Mr. Peters is Executive Director Emeritus of the U.S.-Mexico Quadripartite Commission, an organization founded by former Senator Jacob Javits and former Mexican President Jose Lopez Portillo. The commission consisted of thirty corporate CEO's on both sides of the border. In this capacity, Mr. Peters worked closely with the CEO of Equitable Life Assurance Society as well as senior executives from The Prudential, The Metropolitan and The Aetna life insurance companies. Previously, Mr. Peters directed a performance review of a Mexican Agribusiness Project for the Ford Foundation and directed the financial analysis of a US$100 million project loan for the World Bank. In addition, he served as an International Corporate Loan Officer for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company. Today, USMDC has designed the First World Class North American Retirement Community in Mexico, with US medical care offered in English, for North American Baby Boomers. "The US-Mexican Development Corporation is the leader in this new industry in Mexico," said Peters. "The first such community has opened in Vallarta, Mexico. USMDC was the original developer and then co-developer with Front Porch of California in this $49 million project in Mexico. USMDC found the property, the investors, the debt, and the US medical services, putting together the very attractive beach front project called "LUMA Living" in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico, (www.LumaLiving.com) now owned jointly by Front Porch Development Company and the Romo Group of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The project is within the Paradise Village Resort. Other Mexican projects include ventures in: Cabo San Lucas; East Cape, Baja, California; San Miguel de Allende; Ajijic; Cuernavaca; and Alamos, Sonora.
